I wish a version of the live performance was available somewhere. It is much more spirited. I think that combining acting with musical performance really brings the latter to life. Not that this version isn't pretty great, but it just cannot stand up to the extra emotional oomph from the film. The lyrics are such a great distillation of the films central thesis about the internal war between Rebecca Adamynski and her persona Becky Something.

I liked it but it was a bit too slow in some scene and i also felt like it was multiple episodes combined into a single movie. Overall i think its 6.8/10 probably lower if it wasn't for how good the acting was. I recommend skipping the first 35 minutes lol
